BIOGRAPHY

Thomas Puissochet is a French pianist based in Paris. He began music with violin at the age of six and changed to piano later on. After a few years of playing the piano, he went to study in Boulogne-Billancourt’s Conservatory with David Saudubray.

 

In 2011 Thomas moved to Helsinki, where he did his Bachelor and Master studies at the Sibelius-Academy. During his years in Finland, he studied with Ilmo Ranta, Naoko Ichihashi and Tuija Hakkila. Thomas also studied in Paris National Conservatory in Denis Pascal’s class for an exchange in 2017, where he also got the chance to have lessons with Varduhi Yeristuan and Sebastien Vichard. In 2015 he won a first price at the Helmi Vesa piano competition in Helsinki.

 

Thomas is also very interested in chamber music and Lied accompaniment. He played Brahms’ first piano concerto with orchestra for the Francophonia festival in Temppeliaukio church in march 2018.

 

Thomas is currently teaching in Aulnay-sous-Bois conservatory, close to Paris.
