Laura Lammi took up her oboe studies in Vaasa, Finland, under Zsofia Gyimes in 1997. Her professional studies began at the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and continued at the Sibelius Academy.
Lammi graduated as Master of Music in June 2017, Jorma Valjakka being her main teacher. She has accumulated international experience in form of exchange programmes from Berlin’s ”Hans Eisler” academy and Musikene, Centro Superior de Música del país Vasco in San
Sebastián, Spain.
Laura finds chamber music, especially playing in wind quintet very inspiring. She is a member of Pori Sinfonietta’s wind quintet and actively performs in various groups, such as her 5parts quintet.
Since 2016 Laura has been associate principal oboist at the Pori Sinfonietta orchestra.
